2020. Due to Covid-19 no games will be played until the Barton Boxing Day game 2020.
2019 The Barton Boxing Day game on the Playing Field, 11.30 am, was played between 2 teams of 5 over 45 minutes. Result 3 to 2 – not that that mattered. Chestnuts and mulled drinks over blazing fire pit after.
August. Barton hosted Avalon 41 for the 3rd successive year on Thursday 8th, 6 pm. The boys in pink pants outpaced the 41 team in a free flowing and enjoyable game played with good humour on both sides.
December. Wednesday 26th BOXING DAY GAME, 11.30am. Village Playing Field. Ref. Dean Porter, roast chestnuts, mulled apple juice. What more can you ask ! Yes, of course ! A fun game of Walking Football. 2 sides of 7 played. Result a draw.

September. Saturday 29th, 11.30am. Village playing field. Ref Dean Porter will ensure there’s no running, gouging, pulling or pushing. This is Barton Walking Football ! 2 x 10minute-ish sides with an interval (you’ll need it). Come and join the fun – open to all y,o, m, f.
July. Thursday 5th, 6.30pm. 3 teams from Avalon 41 Club and Barton St David, played a 5 game knockout in radiant sunshine adjourning to the Barton Inn for pints and pizzas after.
May Sunday 8th 6.30pm. Rotary played a team from Barton. Hard fought game. Then to Barton Inn for pizzas and a pint.
April Sunday 29th. Game started as usual at 11.30 am. The Southwell Sanders team, boys, girls and dads displayed great sporting spirit.
February 2018, Saturday 17th. Definitely a game of 2 halves. End score 3 – 1, to the Twinklies.
Walking Football. The Tinsel game on Boxing Day. Attracted more than 30 players and spectators young and old for an exciting match where 4 teams played 6 games with roast chestnuts and warming apple punch on hand to give necessary sustenance against a biting wind. Overall winners – team 1.
Basic Rules. No running, no/low contact, ball must be kept below chest high, 2 x 10 minute ‘sides’ . All welcome to play or watch. Biting/gouging are sin bin acts !
